Second highest rise of coronavirus cases in Odisha, 6 new cases

In the last 24 hours, 13 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Odisha, including the 7 cases had been detected earlier today. This is the second-highest rise of COVID-19 cases in a day.

The news of 6 more COVID positive cases was given by the Official handle Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha that is responsible for public health, health services and medical education in the state. Out of the six new cases, five are from Jajpur district and one from Sundergarh district. The tally of the total number of coronavirus positive found cases in the state rises to 74.

Also, a few hours after the report of such a steep rise, CM Naveen Patnaik announced the operation of five standalone Odisha COVID Hospitals with a combined bed capacity of 825, readied in record 30 days. The hospitals have been set up in Sundargarh, Bargarh, Angul, Jagatsinghpur & Nabarangpur, increasing the number of beds to 5000.
