Controversial Farm Bills get President Nod

President of India Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the three controversial farm bills passed by the Parliament recently. The opposition party had recently met President Ram Nath Kovind and urged him to return the farm bills for discussion.

The controversial farm bills had led to an uproar in both Houses of the Parliament. Earlier, Cabinet Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal from SAD had resigned over the bills.

The opposition had also raised voice against the bill stating that it would do away with the Minimum Support Price System.
