Nirbhaya Convicts Finally Hanged, PM Applauds Justice

The convicts in Nirbhaya rape and murder case were finally hanged to death today.

The execution took place amidst the darkness before the fall of dawn. Mukesh Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar Singh (31) were executed at 5.30 am for brutally assaulting the 23-year-old girl.

PM, Narendra Modi tweets his first response on the execution – “Justice has prevailed. It is of utmost importance to ensure dignity and safety of women,”.
