Thousands Gather At Jantar Mantar to Protest Against Hathras Rape

Thousands of protesters gathered at the Jantar Mantar at New Delhi on Friday to protest against the shocking Hathras rape incident.

The protesters raised slogans against the lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh and the police response to the entire incident.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also joined the protest at Jantar Mantar.

Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad also took part in the protests.

“I will visit #Hathras. Our struggle will continue till the time UP CM doesn’t resign, & justice is served. I urge SC to take cognizance of the incident.”

Meanwhile West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to lead protests in Kolkata on Saturday.

On Thursday, Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were detained in Greater Noida while they were on their way to meet the family members.

Media reporters stationed at the spot have also alleged that the administration has completely cut-off the family and is not allowing anyone to meet them or talk to them.
