2010 US Bribery Case: Manohar Parrikar seeks CBI Probe

A day after Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekar has sought a CBI probe into the alleged bribery case involving US firm Louis Berger and a former Goa Minister during the Congress rule, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar hinted that at least two Ministers may have been involved in the scandal. He too hinted at a CBI probe, saying he would approach the PM soon.

Around Rs 6 crore was paid by Louis Berger officials to a Goa Minister and other officials to win a contract for water development scheme in the state. The incident occurred in 2010 when Digambar Kamat was heading the Congress-led government in Goa.
