59.46% Voter Turnout recorded in 5th Phase Polling in Bihar

All records were shattered during the 5th and final phase polling in Bihar, thanks to massive polarisation in Muslim-dominated underdeveloped areas. The final voter turnout was recorded at 59.46%. Polling was held in 57 seats in 9 districts today.

Katihar recorded 67.27%, followed by Purnea (62.95%), Araria (62%), Kishanganj (61.54%), Supaul (58.60%), Darbhanga (58.27%), Madhepura (57.84%), Madhubani (55.87%) and Saharsa (50.78%).
