8 dead, 11 injured in Manhattan Terror Attack

Insight Bureau:  Atleast 8 people died and 11 injured in the terror attack when  a 29-year-old man, in a rented pickup truck drove down a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center on Tuesday in Manhattan, New York City.

Reportedly, six people died on the spot and two were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Sayfullo Saipov, a Uzbek migrant based in Florida who drove the truck, was shot in the abdomen by a police officer later. Officials are calling this as the deadliest terrorist attack on New York City since Sept. 11, 2001.
