Actor Mithun Chakraborty resigns from Rajya Sabha

Veteran actor and MP Mithun Chakraborty on Monday resigned from the Rajya Sabha citing health issues.

Mithun was elected to Rajya Sabha by Trinamool Congress in April 2014.

Chakraborty has remained absent from Rajya Sabha after his name popped-up in multi-crore Saradha Chit fund scam. He had attended the Upper House for three days only.
