ONI Bureau:  —–   Government of Odisha directs collectors of 11 districts including Cuttack & Puri districts, to draw up an emergency plan to meet any eventuality as 25 gates of Hirakud Dam will be opened today and 8 lakh Cusec of water will flow into river Mahanadi at Mundali by Aug 30.

—–   Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik urges Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to introduce two new daily trains between Berhampur and Surat.

—–   MeT predicts thunderstorm, lightning and moderate rainfall at one or two places over Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Angul, Ganjam and Gajapati districts till 6.30 pm.
