CBI raids Activist Teesta Setalvad’s House, Office in Mumbai

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted raids at activist Teesta Setalvad’s house and office in Mumbai this morning. The investigating agency had registered a case against Setalvad and her NGO last week for alleged violation of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) in receiving funds from abroad.

The FIR also named Setalvad’s husband Javed Anand and another person Gulam Mohammed Peshimam, both Directors in Sabrang Communications and Publishing.
