Chidambaram takes on Sushma Swaraj over Allegations against Rajiv

Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram slams Sushma Swaraj for comments on Rajiv Gandhi, cites court judgement in Bofors Scam to claim exoneration of the former PM. However, he avoided queries on Warren Anderson (Bhopal Gas Tragedy accused). “Charges against Rajiv Gandhi were shocking. Sushma owes an apology”, he added.

He further criticised Sushma for not responding specific queries on LalitGate and asked her to release his letter. He also clarified that he and his wife did not violate the rules on the ‘conflict of interest’ allegations.

According to Chidambaram, he sought deportation of Lalit Modi on the ground that his passport was revoked by the government.
