Sri Lanka bowled out for 306 in the first innings in reply to India’s first innings total of 393, conceding a lead of 87 runs. Skipper Angelo Mathews scored 102, while Kaushal Silva (51), Thirimanne (62), Sangakkara (32) and Mubarak (22) were the top scorers. For India, Amit Mishra took four wickets. Ishant Sharma and R Ashwin took two wickets each.
