Delhi Govt hikes Petrol Prices by Rs 2.78, Diesel by Rs 1.83 per Litre

The Delhi Government has hiked the Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel, triggered a steep fuel price hike in the national capital. VAT on petrol has been increased from 20% to 25%, while the VAT on diesel has gone up from 12.5% to 16.6%. The petrol prices have been increased by Rs 2.78 per litre, while diesel prices hiked by Rs 1.83 per litre. The new prices will be effective from midnight tonight.
