Encounter Specialist Daya Nayak suspended from Maharashtra Police

The Maharashtra Government has suspended Police Sub-Inspector and ‘Encounter Specialist’ Daya Nayak with immediate effect without giving any details. Daya was reinstated in service in June 2012. He was transferred to Nagpur, pending inquiries against him, but did not join duty. Daya Nayak was under suspension for around six-and-a-half years following the arrest by Anti-Corruption Bureau in 2006.
