Insight News Desk: While offering good wishes to kids of the nation ahead of Children’s Day on November 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, every child is a hero in the making of ‘New India’ – the slogan given by them recently.
“Greeting to children on Children’s Day that is celebrated on our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday. Every child is a hero in the making of a ‘New India’,” said PM Modi on his 37th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
Modi also hailed the jawans, saying Indian forces are engaged in giving training to personnel from 85 other countries.
“India has always given the world the message of peace, unity and brotherhood. Our role is not limited to just peacekeeping operations, but India is also training peacekeepers in about 85 countries. Being from this land of Mahatma Gandhi and Gautama Buddha, our brave peacekeepers have conveyed the message of peace and harmony around the world, he said.
“India has been blessed with great people, who served humanity with selflessness”, he added. Modi also talked about promotion of Khadi. “This year on the occasion of Dhanteras, Delhi’s Khadi Gramodyog store recorded sales of Rs 1 crore. Khadi for transformation’ is taking place of ‘Khadi for Nation’ and ‘Khadi for fashion’,” he said.
