Former Nepalese PM Baburam Bhattarai quits CPN-Maoist Party

Baburam-BhattaraiTop Maoist leader in Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the former Prime Minister of the country, had quit his party, CPN-Maoist and from the Parliament over the issue of rights of Madhesis. He had major differences with the major political parties of Nepal over the new Constitution.

Bhattarai will form his new political “force” along with like-minded people. It is believed that India, which is upset with the new Constitution in Nepal, is behind this rebellion. Baburam Bhattarai was the senior-most leader after his party’s chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal, popularly known as ‘Prachanda’.
