Four People electrocuted in Bihar’s Madhubani District

Patna, Nov 17: At least four people died and six sustained injuries in Bihar’s Madhubani district after a high voltage wire fell on them on Tuesday, police said.

The incident took place in Jainagar in Madhubani, when people were busy in Chhath Puja celebrations – the most popular festival of the state.

“Four people died on the spot and six injured in the incident were admitted to a hospital,” a district police official said.

Amid shock and anger, local residents blamed the negligence of the electricity department and administration for the mishap and demanded compensation for the victims’ families.  (IANS)
