Hardik Patel turns Violent, triggers Clashes in Ahmedabad

The Patel Patidar agitation led by Hardik Patel turned Violent across Ahmedabad, as he dared the government as well as the Supreme Court and warned of violent protests.

The mob turned violent and clashed with local residents at Vadaj, Vastrapur, Nikol and Paldi areas. Properties damaged. Police resort to lathi charge and lobbed teargas shells to control the situation. The police later arrested Hardik Patel, but released a couple of hours later. Around 2-3 lakh people attended Hardik Patel’s Kranti Rally.

Meanwhile, it has come to light that Hardik Patel has close proximity with Arvind Kejriwal and backed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. He always supported Kejriwal and slammed Narendra Modi.

His latest campaign is seen as an attempt to destabilise Gujarat Government and secure a back-door entry for the AAP in Gujarat. In today’s rally, he invoked Arvind Kejriwal and Nitish Kumar in his speech. He also warned the BJP, saying the party would be voted out of power if Patel Patidars are not included in OBC quota.
