Liquor Scam: BJP launches scathing attack on Harish Rawat

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader and Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat over a string video, which hints at a massive liquor scam in the state. The sting video has claimed that Harish Rawat and his Personal Secretary were involved in a liquor scam soon after the 2013 flash floods.

The sting showed that Rawat’s Personal Secretary Mohammad Shahid negotiating with a liquor baron for Rs 100 crore bribe to change Uttarakhand’s policy on the sale of alcohol. Harish Rawat has rubbished the allegations.
