Mamata Banerjee sweeps West Bengal, Left Decimated

The Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee made history, as she yet again swept the Assembly Polls in West Bengal with a two-third majority. The Left-Congress combine completely failed to unsettle her.

Mamata is leading in 211 seats, while Congress is on the second spot with 40 seats. Left is on third spot with 34 seats. BJP has surprised all by leading in 8 seats.

Trinamool Congress had won 184 seats in 2011. Left and Congress had won 60 and 42 seats respectively. Their seats declined even though they joined hands this time.
