Modi condemns Dadri, slams Opposition over Polarisation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the Dadri lynching in strong words, but passed the buck the state governments, saying such issues need to handled by respective state governments. He also slammed the opposition parties for playing “politics of polarisation” over these sensitive issues.

Excerpts from PM Modi’s Interview with Anand Bazar Patrika (ABP):

* We condemn Dadri Lynching in unequivocal terms. Such incidents are unfortunate.
* These issues have no connection to the centre and they are related to law and order situation in respective states.
* We don’t support incidents like protests against Ghulam Ali.
* The BJP has been against ‘fake secularism’. Opposition always trying to play politics of polarization, as they see minorities as vote banks.
