PM, Defence Minister condole demise of Soldiers in Siachen

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of 10 soldiers in Siachen Glacier during an avalanche. “Demise of soldiers in Siachen is very tragic. I salute the brave soldiers who gave their lives to the nation. Condolences to their families”, the Prime Minister said.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has also condoled the loss of lives of Army personnel in an avalanche at Siachen glacier on Wednesday.

“My heartfelt condolences to the near and dear ones of our brave soldiers, who were martyred in the line of duty in the most difficult terrain of Siachen. It is our duty to take care of their families”, he said.
