PM Modi announces to build Museum to honour Tribal Freedom Fighters

On Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to build museums in several states to glorify the role of lesser-known people from tribal communities who contributed to the freedom struggle.

Addressing the nation on the 70th Independence Day from the Red Fort on Monday, Modi said that the role of some people in the freedom struggle is being discussed more than needed, while the contribution of tribals has not been highlighted as they deserved.

The Prime Minister said that the government would build permanent museums to glorify the role of tribal freedom fighters, so that the coming generations could be able to know about their devotion and sacrifices for the motherland.

On this occasion, Modi has also announced to increase 20 per cent hike in pension of Freedom fighters.
