PMO holds Talks with War Veterans on OROP, Solution in Sight

Fresh hopes were raised after the PMO intervened and held talks with he representatives of war veterans, who are holding protests at Jantar Mantar, depending implementation of ‘One Rank One Pension’ (OROP). The veterans decided not to escalate their protest for another 10 days. They also ended their hunger strike for the time being.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have apologised to the War Veterans for the August 14 crackdown and assured that such incidents won’t happen again in future.
