Quota Row: Kapu Leader Padmanabham to go on Hunger Strike

Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has confirmed that the Kapus’ agitation will continue till they are included in the list of backward classes and provided reservation. Padmanabham will go on fast unto death within 4-5 days.

The Kapu leader had led a massive protest at Tuni (Andhra Pradesh) yesterday and also held rail and road blockade. The protesters set a train on fire, torched two police stations apart from burning several vehicles.

Mudragada Padmanabham was with the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the past. Currently, he is associated with the Congress, which seeks revival in Andhra Pradesh.
