Rahul Gandhi meets Ikhlaq’s Family at Bisada Village in Dadri

Rahul-IkhlaqCongress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who just returned from an 11-day foreign visit, has made his public appearance and visited Mohammad Ikhlaq (also spelt Akhlaq)’s family in Bisada village in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul consoled the bereaved family and slammed the hatemongers, who lynched Akhlaq over the “rumours” of a stolen calf and cow slaughter. While Akhlaq was killed, his 22-year-old son Danish is still fighting for life at a hospital.

“Met the family of Mohd Akhlaq and expressed my deepest condolences. It is very sad to see the trust and harmony built over decades, destroyed by the politics of hate”, Rahul Gandhi’s office tweeted.

“Hatred between our people weakens India. We have to stand together and fight those who spread it. Was touched by the desire of people in Bisada to maintain harmony. This spirit will help the country go through tough times,” Rahul tweeted further.
