Rajahmundry Stampede Toll at 27, Rs 10 Lakh Compensation Announced

The death toll in the stampede at Godavari Pushkaralu in Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, has now gone up to 27. 25 women and children were among the death. 14 people are critically injured and admitted to the hospital. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, who had taken the holy dip along with his family today, has set up a control room and monitoring the situation. He has also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of dead.
