Rath Yatra: ‘Pahandi Bije’ Over, Deities placed on Chariots

Thanks to the outrage over ‘Bramha Sthapan’ and other issues, the rituals related to Nabakalebara Rath Yatra are being held as per the schedule without any fail. The ‘Pahandi Bije’ of the deities was completed ahead of time. The rituals were slated to be completed by 1-1:15 PM, but were done by 12:35 PM.

Lord Sudarshan was first to taken to the chariots. Then, Lord Balabhadra was placed on Taladhwaja chariot, followed by Devi Subhadra (Darpadalan) and Lord Jagannath (Nandighosh). Now, the ‘Madan Mohan Bije’ ritual is going on.
