Retired Army Man arrested in Punjab while spying for Pakistan

PakistanIn a shocking development, a retired army man, Subedaar Saroop Singh was arrested in Amritsar, Punjab on spying charges. He was allegedly working with a Pakistan ISI operative. Singh was asked to provide information about the movement of army units along the border and placement of radars.

Subedaar Saroop Singh is a resident of Ghasel village, which falls in the jurisdiction of Dinanagar in Gurdaspur district. It can be recalled that there was a massive terror attack in Gurdaspur last month in which several people and cops, including SP Baljit Singh were killed.

Subedaar Singh had retired from 37th Rashtriya Rifles. He was booked under various sections of the Official Secrets Act and the IPC.
