RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat seeks Review of Reservation Policy

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat triggered a huge debate, by seeking review of existing Reservation Policy in the country. He argued that the reservation policy has been used for political gains and an apolitical committee should be set up to examine who exactly needs the benefits and for how long.

“Interest groups are formed to fulfill their aspiration. But, the aspiration of one section should not be met at the cost of others,” he said. “We should have an approach to ensure welfare for all. No section should not be neglected,” added the RSS Chief.

Bhagwat’s comments came in the wake of recent agitation of Patel Patidar community led by Hardik Patel, seeking reservation within OBC quota.
