SC rejects Centre’s Petition, Rajiv’s Killers not be Hanged

The Supreme Court has rejected the Centre’s Curative Petition, which challenged the decision to commute the death sentence given to former PM Rajiv Gandhi’s killers into life imprisonment. SC upheld the previous verdict. Now, there will be no hanging of Rajiv Gandhi’s Killers – Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan, who have been in jail for 23 years.
