West-Bengal-ViolenceThe resignation of State Election Commissioner of West Bengal, Sushanta Ranjan Upadhyay amid widespread booth capturing, rigging and violence in the state during the civic polls, has exposed the law and order situation. It can be recalled that 21 journalists were attacked on the poll day when they tried to expose the corrupt practice.

Trinamool Congress goons have been on a rampage in West Bengal. After receiving a detailed report, the SEC had announced re-polls in “some booths” on October 8 and counting on the 9th. However, he took a surprising decision yesterday and submitted his resignation to the Governor.
