Putting all rumours and speculations into rest, the Grand Alliance or Mahagathbandhan won the assembly polls in Bihar. People in Bihar gave a big thumbs up to Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav, resulting in a big setback to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah.
Nitish Kumar has retained Bihar with his hat-trick victory. But, this time, he does not have the figure alone. He needs to rely on Lalu Yadav always. Contrary to the expectations, BJP may fail to emerge as the single largest party and finish second behind JD(U) and just ahead of RJD.
As per the latest trends, Grand Alliance is leading in 155 seats, while, NDA is leading in just 76 seats. Others are leading in 12 seats. Neither BJP nor its allies did well in this election. They have failed miserably.
