Angry Shiv Sena cadres or Shiv Sainiks, stormed into the office of BCCI and shouted slogans against Board President Shashank Manohar and PCB Chief Shahryar Khan. They warned Manohar not to invite Khan for a meeting to discuss the Indo-Pak cricket series.
They chanted ‘Vande Mataram’ and waved black flags. Shashank Manohar was seen sitting quietly and trying to pacify the angry Sainiks. The cops have arrested some Shiv Sainiks in connection with the incident.
Shahryar Khan and head of its executive committee Najam Sethi arrived in India on Sunday to convince the BCCI to confirm the bilateral series in December. The meeting was shifted to Delhi from Mumbai following the protests from Shiv Sena.
