Supreme Court rules Aadhar ‘Not Mandatory’ except PDS, LPG

The Supreme Court has ruled that ‘Aadhar Cards’ can’t be made mandatory and will remain optional for availing various welfare schemes of govt except for Kerosene, Food Grains Distribution and LPG Distribution system. The SC also asked the Government to spread this message through Ads and Awareness campaigns. No personal information of card holders shall be shared by government authorities, ruled the apex court.
