Thane Building Collapse: Death Toll rises to 12, 7 Injured

Just a week after a building collapse in Thakurli claimed 9 lives, a 50-year-old three-storey building collapsed near Thane railway station in the wee hours today, killing at least 12 people and injuring 7. Many trapped people were rescued by the authorities. But, 3-4 people may still be trapped inside the debris. The NDRF personnel, firetenders and sniffer dogs are engaged in the rescue operation.
