13 killed, 14 injured in Gas Pipeline Blast at Bhilai Steel Plant

ONI Bureau:   At least thirteen people were killed and 14 others injured on Tuesday in a blast at a gas supply pipeline in Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh.

The explosion at the plant of the state-owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) reportedly took place in the morning hour.

All victims were taken to a nearby local hospital. Most of the injured were said to be in critical condition.

Police said that over 24 employees were working at the spot when the accident occurred in the plant.
