AAP MLAs arrested in Delhi chief secretary assault case

ONI Bureau:  Two Aam Aadmi Party MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash assault case. They were later produced before the Tees Hazari court by Delhi Police.

However the Delhi Court rejected Police plea to grant police custody of AAP MLAs and have sent the two AAP MLAs to judicial custody till tomorrow.

The allegation of the assault has triggered a political storm in the national capital as the medical reports confirmed that Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was assaulted and had ‘swelling’.

In his complaint, Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had earlier alleged that he was hitting and assaulting by the MLAs during a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.
