Chennai Journalists boycott Jignesh Mevani’s Press Meet

ONI Bureau: Dalit leader and Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani had to face still resistance from journalists in Chennai after he sought to dictate terms at the press meet.

As soon as Jignesh asked the mic of Republic TV to be removed, other journalists present there protested. When Jignesh did not relent, they thanked him and walked out.

“You can’t demand this. You can’t dictate terms to us like this,” Chennai journalists told Jignesh Mevani, who was left red-faced and left the venue of the press conference.
