CJI meets ‘Rebel’ SC Judges to end Judiciary Crisis

ONI Bureau: While all 4 Supreme Court Judges, who staged a revolt a few days ago, triggering judicial crisis in India, resumed work yesterday, CJI Dipak Misra met them today for 15 minutes to discuss the issues raised by them.

Justice A K Sikri and two other judges were also present at the meeting along with the CJI and Justices J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur and Kurian Joseph.

While there is no official word on the outcome of meeting, sources said the crisis has been averted and all issues would be resolved within a day or two.

CJI Dipak Misra had earlier met a seven-member delegation of the Bar Council of India as well as the Supreme Court Bar Association President Vikas Singh and assured them the crisis would be averted.
