Congress passes resolution seeking Ballot Papers in place of EVMs

ONI Bureau:  Congress today passed Congress Political Resolution seeking Ballot Papers in place of EVMs.

Speaking at the 84th Plenary Session of All India Congress Committee (AICC) at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said to ensure credibility of electoral process Election Commission should revert to old practice of paper ballots like most major democracies as political parties & people misusing EVMs.

The Political Resolution will also outline the party’s strategy to defeat the BJP-led government in 2019 and built a strong alliance of all Opposition parties against BJP.

It will give a clear cut idea about the direction in which the principal Opposition party will head in the next five years. The Plenary Session also presented the party’s vision document and the political road map for the party.
