Earthquake in Afghanistan; tremors felt in Delhi, North India

ONI Bureau: A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan-Tajikistan border today, with tremors felt in Delhi and other parts of North India.

The quake was also felt in the State of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Uttar Pradesh.  The tremors lasted a few seconds.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake was felt in northeast of Kabul in the Hindukush mountains, at a deep 180 km and it occurred at 4:25 am.

According to the report, at least one person has died in Balochistan and many have been injured from the earthquake.
