India completes Supersonic Cruise Missile Triad

SagarSpeaks: India created a world record today, as BrahMos  was launched from Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft, completing the Supersonic Cruise Missile Triad.

BrahMos, the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile, is now capable of being launched from Land, Sea and Air.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman confirms this development, while the Defence Ministry added that the test-flight will significantly bolster the IAF’s air combat operations capability.

BrahMos, named after the rivers Brahmaputra and Moskva, weighs 2.5 tonnes and is the heaviest weapon to be deployed on India’s Su-30 fighter aircraft. It’s the world’s only supersonic cruise missile.
