Judge who delivered the verdict on Mecca Masjid blast resigns

ONI Bureau:  Hours after declaring all the accused “not guilty” in the Mecca Masjid blast case, Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) Judge K Ravinder Reddy tendered his resignation on Monday.

Reddy said his resignation had nothing to do with the judgement, cited personal reasons.

Eleven years after the powerful explosion killed nine people and injured more than 50 during the Friday prayers near the iconic Charminar in Hyderabad, the Judge said all five men had been acquitted as the NIA had failed to establish their role in the attack.
