NDA Candidate Harivansh Singh elected Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman

ONI Bureau:   The BJP-led NDA’s candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh was elected as the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson on Thursday.

The National Democratic Alliance candidate got 125 votes as against 105 of Opposition candidate B.K. Hariprasad.

Harivansh a former journalist and JD(U)’s Parliamentarian from Bihar was born on 30 June 1956 in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated NDA Candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh.

“I congratulate Harivansh ji on behalf of the whole house. He has been blessed with the talent of writing. He was also a favourite of former PM Chandra Shekhar ji”, said PM Modi.
