ONI Bureau: Just two days ahead of Parakram Parv (Surgical Strike Day), Indian Army released a fresh video of India’s surgical strike in 2016 across the Line of Control (LoC). The Indian Armed Forces will observe the second anniversary of the surgical strikes from 28-30 September 2018.
The surgical strike was India’s response to the 2016 Uri attack, when Pakistani terrorists attacked and killed 19 Indian soldiers on September 18, 2016.
In response, on September 29, the Indian Army conducted surgical strike across LoC in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, destroyed 7 terrorist launch pads and killed around 38 terrorists and 2 Pakistani soldiers.
To showcase the courage and sacrifice of Armed Forces, ‘Parakram Parv’ is being observed from 28-30 September 2018. Similarly, 53 locations in 51 cities across the Nation shall be showcasing the events.
