Rahul Gandhi seeks probe into Justice Loya’s Death

ONI Bureau: Congress President Rahul Gandhi gave a guarded response to the ‘Judiciary Crisis’ triggered today following the accusation levelled by 4 Supreme Court Judges against CJI Dipak Misra.

Rahul took note of the allegations levelled by the SC Judges that there is a threat to democracy. He also sought a probe into special CBI Judge B.H. Loya’s death. Justice Loya was looking into the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case. The Congress has sought a SIT probe into the matter.

“The points that have been raised by the 4 judges are extremely important. They mentioned that there is a threat to democracy. It needs to be looked into carefully”, he said.

“They’ve made a point about Judge Loya’s case. It needs to be investigated properly. It needs to be looked at from the highest levels of the Supreme Court”, he added.

This type of thing has never happened before. It is unprecedented. All citizens who love the idea of justice, who believe in the Supreme Court are looking at this issue and it is important that it is addressed,” said Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
