Senior BJP Leader Ananth Kumar dies at 59

ONI Bureau: Karnataka’s iconic politician, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ananth Kumar passes away this morning at the age of 59.

Ananth Kumar breathed his last at Shankara Cancer Hospital in Bengaluru. He was suffering from Cancer and had recently returned from the US following treatment.

State funeral will be accorded to Ananth Kumar. National Flag will fly at half-mast.

Born on July 22, 1959, Ananh Kumar had completed LLB from Mysore University. He was active in politics for the last 40 years, starting from student days.

Ananth Kumar was one of the few leaders from Karnataka who left their mark on national politics. PM Narendra Modi and many others have condoled the demise of Ananth Kumar.
