Two Americans win Nobel Prize in Economics

ONI Bureau:  The 2018 Nobel Prize in Economics was jointly shared by two Americans – William Nordhaus and Paul Romer.

“The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2018 to William D. Nordhaus and Paul M. Romer”, the award-giving body said in a tweet on Monday.

While, William Nordhaus received the prestigious award for integrating climate change into long-run macroeconomic analysis, Paul Romer have been awarded for integrating technological innovations into long-run macroeconomic analysis.
