UK Court orders extradition of Vijay Mallya to India

ONI Bureau: In a big win for India and Modi Government after extradition of Christian Michel this month, London’s Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday ordered the extradition of Vijay Mallya to India after a year-long trial.

Mallya who left India in 2016, is wanted on alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to an estimated Rs 9,000 crores.

However, Mallya can still move higher courts in UK.
